Child's Rocking Chair Plans

(Wayne's Projects #15)

Precision computer drawn templates and instructions to help intermediately skilled woodworkers create a simple rocking chair for children.

Interestingly enough, the dynamic design requires no glue, screws or nails! 5 interlocking pieces fit neatly together and are locked into place with the 6th piece.

You can further use your imagination to decorate the pieces in whatever way you want.

Physical Dimensions

Highest point on back 20 inches

Floor to seat level 9.5 inches

Width of seat 10.5 inches

Length of rocker strut 18 inches

Safety features a ball at the end of the strut reduces backward rocker movement.

Use 18mm plywood (metric size), Baltic Birch, Cherry or any other quality plywood will be suitable.

Using 18mm is a must. Don't use 3/4" as the finished chair will not fit correctly together.
